\nHow does the Drug work
\n\u25c9Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), which works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to narrow and blood pressure to increase. By blocking the action of angiotensin II, losartan causes blood vessels to relax and widen, thereby reducing blood pressure.<\/p>\n
\u25c9 Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that works by increasing the amount of salt and water that is eliminated from the body through urine. By doing so, hydrochlorothiazide reduces the amount of fluid in the blood vessels, which also helps to lower blood pressure.<\/p>\n
\u25c9 When losartan and hydrochlorothiazide are taken together, they work synergistically to lower blood pressure. Losartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, which causes blood vessels to relax and widen, while hydrochlorothiazide reduces the amount of fluid in the blood vessels.
