Composition of Drug
◉This drug contain Rosuvastatin 10 mg + acetyl salicylic acid 75 mg
How does the Drug work
◉Rosuvastatin is a medication used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood. It works by inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which is involved in the production of cholesterol in the liver. By reducing cholesterol production, Rosuvastatin helps to lower the levels of LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood while increasing the levels of HDL (“good”) cholesterol.
◉ Acetyl salicylic acid, commonly known as aspirin, is a medication that works by reducing inflammation and preventing blood clots. It works by inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase (COX) which is responsible for the production of prostaglandins, which play a role in inflammation and blood clotting. Aspirin is commonly used to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people who have already had a cardiovascular event or are at high risk for one.
◉ When used together, Rosuvastatin and acetyl salicylic acid can help to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke. Rosuvastatin lowers cholesterol levels, which can help to prevent the buildup of plaque in the arteries, while aspirin reduces the risk of blood clots, which can block blood flow to the heart or brain and cause a heart attack or stroke. However, it is important to note that both medications can have side effects and should only be used under the guidance of a healthcare provider.
