Clotrimazole 1 % + Lidocaine 2%
Use:
1. **Clotrimazole (1% w/v):** Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication. It is commonly used to treat fungal infections of the skin, nails, and mucous membranes. Some common uses include treating fungal infections like athlete’s foot, jock itch, and yeast infections. It works by inhibiting the growth of fungi and is applied topically to the affected area 2. **Lignocaine (also known as Lidocaine) (2% w/v):** Lignocaine is a local anesthetic that is used to numb the skin or mucous membranes. It helps to relieve pain and discomfort by blocking nerve signals in the area where it’s applied. This can be particularly useful when there is itching or burning associated with a fungal infection, as it provides temporary relief from these symptoms The combination of these two active ingredients can be found in certain topical medications, especially in cases where fungal infections are causing discomfort or pain. The clotrimazole addresses the underlying fungal infection, while lignocaine provides immediate relief from pain and itching associated with the infection. This combination can offer both therapeutic and symptomatic relief for the affected individual. However, it’s essential to use such combination products only as directed by a healthcare professional or as indicated on the product label, as they may not be suitable for all types of fungal infections or individuals.
