Do regular exercise such as cycling, walking, jogging, dancing or swimming for a minimum of 30 minutes per day. Invest at least 150 minutes of your week in exercise.Maintain a low fat and a low sugar diet. Replace carbohydrates containing foods with whole grains, fruits and vegetables as carbohydrates turn to sugars leading to high blood sugar. Avoid consumption of alcohol and quit smoking.

â—‰Drug-drug interaction- Gliclazide 60mg Tablet interact with other medicines used to treat high blood sugar , antibacterial drugs (sulfonamides, clarithromycin), medications to treat high blood pressure or heart failure (captopril, enalapril), antifungal (miconazole, fluconazole), drugs to treat indigestion and ulcers in the stomach or duodenum (H2 receptor antagonists such as ranitidine),antidepressent (monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as selegiline, phenelzine), painkillers or antirheumatics (ibuprofen, phenylbutazone), anti-inflammatory medications (glucocorticoids such as hydrocortisone, prednisolone), blood thinner /anticoagulant medication (warfarin), and medicines containing alcohol. Drug-food interaction- Gliclazide 60 mg Tablet interacts with alcoholic beverages, which may increase the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Drug-disease interaction- Gliclazide 60mg Tablet should be avoided in patients with severe liver or kidney problems, severe thyroid or adrenal gland problems, or whoever has a diabetic coma, as it may worsen the condition.
