Do regular exercise such as cycling, walking, jogging, dancing or swimming for a minimum of 30 minutes per day. Invest at least 150 minutes of your week in exercise.Maintain a low fat and a low sugar diet. Replace carbohydrates containing foods with whole grains, fruits and vegetables as carbohydrates turn to sugars leading to high blood sugar. Avoid consumption of alcohol and quit smoking.

Contradicition of drug name
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Glipizide 5mg Tablet.Glipizide5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Glucotrol 5mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

â—‰Drug-drug interaction:GLIPIZIDE tablets may interact with pain killers (aspirin, ibuprofen), anti-diabetic (sitagliptin, canagliflozin, metformin, dulaglutide, liraglutide, insulin glargine), diuretic (furosemide), anti-hypertensives (metoprolol), drug used to treat hyperthyroidism (levothyroxine), and blood thinner (warfarin). Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid alcohol consumption while taking GLIPIZIDE as it causes unpleasant side effects. Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have heart diseases, hypoglycemia (low blood glucose levels), gastrointestinal narrowing, diabetic ketoacidosis (build-up of acids in the blood), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, hypernatremia (low sodium levels), kidney, or liver problems.
