Composition of Drug
◉This drug contain Aciclovir 3 %
How does the Drug work
◉Aciclovir 3% is a topical antiviral medication used to treat certain viral infections of the skin, including herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections. Aciclovir works by inhibiting the activity of the viral DNA polymerase enzyme, which is required for the virus to replicate and spread. By doing so, Aciclovir helps to reduce the severity and duration of symptoms, as well as the risk of transmitting the virus to others.
◉ When applied to the affected area, Aciclovir is absorbed into the skin cells and converted into its active form, which interferes with the virus’s ability to replicate. This helps to reduce the number of viral particles present in the affected area and can help to alleviate symptoms such as itching, burning, and pain.
◉ It’s worth noting that while Aciclovir can be effective at treating viral infections of the skin, it is not a cure for these conditions and cannot prevent future outbreaks. It’s also important to follow your doctor’s instructions carefully when using this medication to ensure that you use it correctly and minimize the risk of side effects.
