How does the Drug work
◉Nepafenac 0.1% is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used to reduce inflammation and pain in the eye following cataract surgery. It works by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, such as prostaglandins. By reducing inflammation, Nepafenac 0.1% can help to alleviate pain and promote faster healing of the eye after surgery.
◉ Nepafenac 0.1% is usually administered as eye drops, with a typical dosage of one or two drops in the affected eye(s) twice daily, starting on the day of surgery and continuing for several weeks afterward, as directed by a healthcare professional.
◉ It is important to follow the dosing instructions carefully and to avoid using Nepafenac 0.1% for longer than recommended, as prolonged use can increase the risk of side effects such as eye irritation, burning, itching, and sensitivity to light. If you experience any of these symptoms, or if your condition worsens or fails to improve after several days of treatment, you should contact your doctor right away.
