◉This is a drug used in peptic ulcers or acid reflux. ie. Levosulpiride 75 mg + esomeprazole 40 mg .
How does the Drug work
◉Levosulpiride is a prokinetic which works by increasing the release of acetylcholine. This increases the movement of stomach and intestines, and prevents acid going up to the food pipe.Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Proton pumps are enzymes found in the stomach lining that aid in the production of acid needed for digestion. Esomeprazole impairs the function of proton pumps. This decreases the quantity of acid produced by the stomach.
